ഉരുണ്ടു നീണ്ട കറുത്ത മത്സ്യമാണ് ഉറി.ഇവയുടെ തലയുടെ ഒരു ഭാഗത്തായി മറ്റു മത്സ്യങ്ങളുടെ പുറത്ത് പറ്റിപ്പിടിച്ചിരുന്നു സഞ്ചരിക്കാൻ സഹായിക്കുന്ന ഒരവയവം ഉണ്ട്. സാധാരണഗതിയിൽ ഇവ സ്രാവിന്റെയും തിമിംഗലത്തിന്റെയും പുറത്ത് പറ്റിപ്പിടിച്ചിരുന്നു സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നവയാണെന്ന് കരുതുന്നുവെങ്കിലും തീരത്തോടു ചേർന്ന പാരുകളിൽ പാരറ്റ് ഫിഷ്, പരലി മുതലായ മത്സ്യങ്ങളുടെ പുറത്ത് പറ്റി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന ചിത്രം എഫ് എം എൽ ഡോക്യുമെന്റ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.

Uri

The 'Uri' is a long, cylindrical, black fish. It possesses an organ on the upper part of its head that enables it to attach itself to other fish and travel along with them. While they are generally believed to travel by clinging to sharks and whales, FML has documented instances of them attaching to and traveling with fish such as parrotfish and barbs near coastal reefs.

Uri are edible.
