ചൊറിയൻ പാറശംഖ്‌ (Choriyan paara shankhu)/ Toad Purpura
ഇതിനെയും കടൽ പണിക്കാർ ശംഖ്‌ എന്ന്തന്നെയാണ് വിളിക്കുക. പവിത്ര ശംഖ് കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ കടൽപ്പണിക്കാർക്കിടയിൽ ഏറ്റവും അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ശംഖ്‌ ആണിത്. കാരണം ഈ ശംഖിന്റെ മാംസവും പാദവും വാണിജ്യ മൂല്യം ഉള്ളതാണ്. ഇവയുടെ പാദം പരമ്പരാഗത വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്രവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട മരുന്നു നിർമ്മാണത്തിനായി ഇന്നും ഉപയോഗിച്ച് വരുന്നു. Choriyan Paara Shankhu (Toad Purpura)

Sea workers also commonly refer to this species simply as a “shankhu” (conch/shell). After the Sacred Conch, it is one of the best-known shells among traditional sea workers because its meat and foot have commercial value. The foot is still used in the preparation of medicines associated with traditional medicine.Its scientific name is Thais bufo.
