പേ മുരലുകൾ
രണ്ടിനം പേ മുരലുകൾ നമ്മുടെ കടലിൽ ഉണ്ട്. തീരത്തോട് ചേർന്ന കടലിലെ ജീവിയാണ്.
കുഴൽ പോലെ നീണ്ട ശരീരവും കൊമ്പുപോലെ തോന്നിക്കുന്ന നീണ്ട ചുണ്ടും വാൽ ചിറകിന്റെ പ്രത്യേകതയും ഇവയെ രൂപഘടനയിൽ മറ്റ് മത്സ്യങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും വേറിട്ട്‌ നിർത്തുന്നു.
സാധാരണഗതിയിൽ കോസ്റ്റൽ കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി ഇത്‌ ഭക്ഷിക്കാറില്ല. കൂട്ടമായ്‌ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന കടൽ ജീവിയല്ല ഇത്‌. കമ്പവല, തട്ടുമടി മുതലായവയിൽ ഇവ വല്ലപ്പോഴും ലഭിക്കാറുണ്ട്.

Cornetfish

Two species of cornetfish are found in our waters; they are creatures that inhabit coastal areas.They are distinguished from other fish by their unique physical characteristics: a long, tube-like body, a long snout resembling a horn, and a distinctive tail fin.Coastal communities generally do not consume this fish. It is not a schooling fish and is only occasionally caught in nets such as "Kambavala" (shore seines) and "Thattumadi"(boat seines).
