AEVAKAL

There are about ten different species of Aevakal in our seas.
Although they are generally harmless, species as the Kozhiyala Eva can damage nets and other fishing gear with their sharp teeth. Kozhiyala Eva is a fish that comes to the sea in large groups during the season of squid or Koru Kanava and Kannan Kozhiyala. There were times when only schools of seahorses was only found everywhere in the sea. Therefore, there were situations where sea workers could not go to work due to the nuisances they created. But now these Aevas are not been seen in such groups recently.
Most of the varities of Aevas travel alone or in pairs. Many species of Aevas can inflate their bodies to escape from their enemies and make them look like balls when threatened. The Aevas, generally move very slowly, behave friendly in front of the camera. Although they are not edible, they have recently been collected and taken to fertilizer factories - especially the Kozhiyala Eva. Although most species of Aevas are seen while diving in the sea, it is surprising that we have never seen their young.
