MAANAKAL

A type of fish, that lives at the bottom of the sea, nearer to the shores. It has a shiny body and beautiful fins. It is edible. In the past, these were caught by those who cast bait and line from the shore and those who cast nets in the coastal sea. This is also in danger of extinction. There is a feather-like organ behind their lower jaw.
