പാലാ മീനുകൾ
ഇവ ഒരു ഉപരിതല മത്സ്യമാണ്. രണ്ടിനം ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും വീതി കൂടിയ തലയുള്ളവയെ അമ്പ്രാഞ്ചി എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നു. കടലിന്റെ മുകളിലൂടെ തടികളോ മറ്റെന്തെങ്കിലും പാഴ് വസ്തുക്കളോ ഒഴുകി നടക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിന്റെ തണൽ പറ്റി പാലാമീലുകൾ ദീർഘദൂരം സഞ്ചരിക്കാറുണ്ട്

Pala fish are surface-dwelling fish. Although there are two varieties, those with broad heads are known as 'Ambranchi'. These fish often travel long distances by staying in the shade of logs or other debris drifting on the sea's surface.
