കടൽ പന്നലുകൾ (Kadal pannalukal ) - Sea Ferns
കാഴ്ചയിൽ കരയിലെ പന്നലുകളെ പോലെ തോന്നിക്കുന്ന ചില ജീവികൾ കടലിൽ ഉണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ കടലിലെ ഈ ജീവികൾ ജന്തുക്കളുടെ ഗണത്തിൽ പെടുന്നവയാണ് . അതിൽ ചിപ്പികളിലും പാരിലും വള്ളിപോലെ പടർന്നു വളരുന്നതായി ചില ഇനങ്ങൾ കാണാം. കടൽ പന്നലുകൾ എല്ലാറ്റിനും വെളുത്ത നിറമാണ്. വിഴിഞ്ഞം, കോവളം എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നാണ് മിക്കവാറും ഇവയെ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.

Sea Ferns There are certain organisms in the sea that resemble land-based ferns in appearance. However, these marine organisms belong to the animal kingdom. Some varieties are found spreading like vines over seashells and rocks. Sea ferns are invariably white in color. They have mostly been found in the Vizhinjam and Kovalam areas.
